Dragonlance Legends (1)
Posted on Nov 18, 2005 in BooksAfter having quickly gone through the Dragonlance Chronicles I was really looking forward to starting on the next trilogy Legends so I started on Dragonlance Legends (1): Time of the Twins. The book is about Raistlin’s the black mages quest for immortality as he seeks to challenge the Dark Queen and take her place. In his quest he must get the help of a devoted cleric of Paladine to help him. But Raistlin’s brother and Tasslehoff come together once more to try and stop Raistlin. This leads them into a journey through time to a time before the Cataclysm in attempt to stop Raistlin who has traveled there to seek the knowledge of an old mage in order to challenge the Dark Queen. But in the end Tasselhoff tries to prevent the Cataclysm but is misguided by Raistlin so he fails and the Cataclysm goes through as normal but Raistlin, Caramon and the cleric of Paladine venture forth one hundred years. That’s where the book ends but I’ve already started on the second one, The War of The Twins and hope to finish it soon.
Rating: 5/5

Sequestered in the blackness of the dreaded Tower of High Sorcery in Palanthas, surrounded by nameless creatures of evil, Raistlin Majere weaves a plan to conquer the darkness–to bring it under his control. Crysania, a beautiful and devoted cleric of Paladine, tries to use her faith to lead Raistlin from the darkness. She is blind to his shadowed designs, and he draws her slowly into his neatly woven trap. Made aware of Raistlins plan, a distraught Caramon travels back in time to the doomed city of Istar in the days before the Cataclysm. There, together with the ever-present kender Tasslehoff, Caramon will make his stand to save Raistlins soul. Or so he believes.
